About Me

My core motivation in this work is the joy and purpose I experience through helping people to find deeper meaning and connection in their own lives and in their relationships with others. I truly feel that my life’s vocation is the practice of social work, and I am guided by the code of ethics in my personal and professional spheres.

Over the past three years I have developed a personal mindfulness practice which has profoundly transformed both my personal life and my therapy practice; I am grateful for opportunities to share the gifts of insight, acceptance, and self-compassion.

I am a sex-positive, body-accepting, anti-racist, LGBTQ+ ally in all aspects of my life, and this open-hearted stance deeply informs my work as a clinical therapist and social worker. I’m also a single parent, retired roller derby skater, farmer’s market lover, Gen-Xer, and an Appalachian woman with a strong commitment to my community.
